Cotton soft sponge cake

Ingredients

Maida/flour - 1/2 cup + 3tbsp
Eggs - 4
Sugar - 3 tbsp+1/4cup
Salt - A pinch
Milk - 3 tbsp
Vanila essence - 1 tsp
Oil - 3 tbsp

Method
1. Separate egg white and egg yolks
2. Mix eg yolks, sugar, salt, milk, vanila and oil and whisk well.
3. Seive in flour/maida and mix well with the whisk.


4. Beat egg whites in a separate clean dry bowl and slowly add 1/4 cup sugar slowly until stiff peaks are formed.
5. Fold in 3 & 4
6. Pour into a prepared pan.
7. Bake in preheated oven for 50-55 mins untill a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Let it cool completely before taking out of the pan.

Enjoy the fluffy cotton sponge cake..

Replace the 3 tbsp flour with cocoa powder for chocolate cotton soft sponge cake.
